Athletics are a big part of mentoring and developing young men here at Salem4youth. Athletics help to motivate and inspire our young men to be everything they can be. Each resident can choose which sport/s they want to participate in.  Many of our young men come from larger schools where the opportunity to play a team sport may be limited. We believe in the values of discipline, teamwork and the opportunity to be a part of a team is beneficial to our students.  Our students are encouraged to be involved in every sport we offer.

The athletic program at Salem4youth provides training and competition in the following sports: Basketball, Softball, Volleyball, Soccer, Track and Field, Weight Lifting, Swimming, Dodge ball and Bowling. We participate in the IIAA (Illinois Inter-agency Athletic Association) Conference.

Parents are invited to attend athletic events if their son in participating on the team. Please review the attached Salem Spectator Policy regarding attending athletic events. Sports Policy click here.
